Widely acclaimed Pink Floyd tribute band Darkside makes it’s first appearance at The EDG Rock Festival at the Edgar Davies Rugby Ground 7.30pm 23rd August 2014. Bringing a spectacular show comprising of the unique sounds, lights, laser show and projected images of the legendary Pink Floyd focussing on the hugely successful Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon. Released in 1973 the album went on to become one of the world’s bestselling albums clocking up sales in excess of 40 million copies.
The show to be staged on Saturday 23rd August promises to be a spectacular evening of Pink Floyd classics from the band’s idiosyncratic 30 year portfolio with the whole of the second half dedicated to Dark Side of the Moon including classic scores such as Great Gig in the Sky and Money.
Recognised by many as Pink Floyd’s greatest work Dark Side of the Moon went on to be the band’s first number one hit in the American charts and stayed in the US charts for 724 weeks. In Britain the album remained in the UK top 40 charts for 560 weeks.
